- I'm having problems booting with my A4000 with a quad speed cd-rom drive,
- mainly because the cdrom doesn't spin up fast enough for the computer to
- recongnise it in time.
-
- I was wondering if there was a way of 'fooling' the computer to think the
- drive was ready, by cutting a line or something, during boot.
-
- I know that 3.1 fixes this, but it's too expansive, and the 2 to 4 drive IDE
- adapter doesn't seem to be easily available.
-
- Any suggestions would be appriciated...
